Australia Wine Festival

Melbourne Food and Wine Festival was launched in 1993 and since then it has gained a reputation of an annual hallmark event in Victoria, Australia. Every year in the month of March, Victoria and Melbourne offer hundreds of flavorsome wine and food events. The festival is celebrated for a fortnight cherishing the Victoria and Melbourne’s vibrant wine and food culture. It is operated in a non profit basis but to promote the lifestyle and talent of Victoria and Melbourne and also to emphasize Melbourne as the wine and food capital of Australia. The Festival has been known for its iconic events such as- World’s Longest Lunch, Langham Melbourne Master Class and Cellar Door at Southgate. The Festival has witnessed over 300,000 tourists annually for several years.


This Festival is organized by a board of management and is supported by a small team in association with Victoria’s wine and food industry.

The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival started in 1993 with a simple celebration of 12 events. It has grown annually since its inception and eventually 2007 Festival comprised of 150 events in a 2 week period. This Festival attracts wine and food experts across the globe and also famous winemakers. One can spot traces of wine and food from every corner of the planet and also have a great opportunity to come across a variety of interesting and new experiences in this Festival. The wine and food lovers have several tempting events to enjoy such as: - extravagant dinner, long lunch, lavish barbecues and wine tasting. One can also learn winemaking from eminent winemakers at Master Class. Many tourists can choose and sip the best variety of wine from famous wineries of Melbourne and Victoria.

Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is known as the epicurean centre of Australia embracing the exotic flavors of Victorian wine, chilled green tea, spicy smorgasbord with a lychee juice etc. Wine lovers can taste wine from one of the earth’s biggest cellar collected work and know how to pair wine and food.
