Napa Valley

The Napa Valley is home to some of the world’s best wines, excellent vineyards, exceptional restaurants and breathtaking views. It is located in the County of Napa in California, USA and is one of the top wine destinations in the world. The Valley is also renowned for producing cult wines (wines that are of high quality & fetch huge prices).
The Napa Valley is known as Napa Valley AVA(American Viticulture Area). It is bestowed with Mediterranean climate, conducive soil and perfect geography leading to production of finest quality wine grapes. The region has over 400 different wine brands, making most densely concentrated wine producing regions.
Bordeaux
The Bordeaux wine region located in France is arguably the most famous wine producing region in the world, often called as the Wine Capital of the World. The wines of Bordeaux fetch a huge price in the market because of the prestige attached to it. Any wine produced in this region is called the Bordeaux wine but the most popular wines are the ‘clarets’ or the classic red wines.

Tuscany

Whenever you think of Chianti you think of Tuscany! Situated at the central western region of Italy, Tuscany has given the world some of the best red wines and without doubt is the pride of Italian wines. Chianti is by far the ‘King’ of Tuscany, but the other red wines Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Brunello di Montalcino are also quite popular.
The white wine Vernaccia di San Gimignano and dessert wine Vin Santo are also the produce of Tuscany. Super Tuscan is a new class of wine which was produced in 1970s outside the DOC/DOCG regulations.These wines were of high quality, fetched huge prices and many of them became cult wines.
Stellenbosch

The wines from Stellenbosch are arguably the best South African wines. Though South Africa is a New World wine region, it offers some really top class wines that are rapidly gaining international acclaim. Stellenbosch was traditionally a white wine producing region, but in recent times it is reinventing itself by producing quality red wines.
Stellenbosch has a winemaking history of around 300 years, with the first wine grapes planted way back in 1680s. The wine industry was deeply affected in the late 19th and early 20th century due to phylloxera, politics,wars and many such reasons.
Barossa valley

The beautiful Barossa valley is the one of the oldest and most popular wine regions of Australia. It is located in South Australia near the city of Adelaide. The Barossa region produces some best varieties of wine which includes Chardonnay, Semillon, Riesling, Mourvedre, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and the very famous Barossa Shiraz. Some fortified wines are also produced here.
The wine history of Barossa valley dates back to 1850s with a strong German predominance on its wine culture.
